6 Eye Makeup Tricks: Beginners Secretly Want to Know
6 Eye Makeup Tricks: Beginners Secretly
Want to Know
2.Determining your eye shape
Have you ever noticed that we’re all born with different eye shapes, some round or some hooded? So, before you begin its very important to determine your eye shape. This is the first step to figuring out where and how you should apply eye makeup.
Mentioned below are the different eye shapes:
Deep Set
Monolid
Hooded
Protruding
Upturned
Downturned
Close Set
Wide Set
2. Tilting your head while applying your eyeliner
Instead of looking straight into a mirror-like you normally would while applying eyeliner I would recommend you tilt your head up and look down as you apply it. By doing so you will get a better look at whether or not your winged eyeliners are symmetrical.

3. Defining your brows
Filling in your brows is a crucial step since it really impacts your overall eye makeup. Once you’ve filled in your sparse or over-tweezed brows what comes next it is adding some definition to them.
Add some height to the arch of your eyebrows by blending a highlighter be it a liquid, pencil or baked highlighter directly under your brow bone and then blending it in using your fingers. In a similar manner give your eyes some lift by applying an illuminator just above the brow.
4. Nail the eyeliner game
For easy eyeliner application especially for beginners, I would suggest that you do your lashes and connect them using an angled eyeliner brush, thereby, creating an even stroke. If you do not have an eye brush as of now you can do this using a gel eyeliner or a liquid eyeliner, they both come along with an applicator, so rest assured, you got this.

5. Use neutral eyeshadow palettes
Experimenting with bold shades when just a beginner can turn out disastrous. You won’t acquire the look you’re aiming at and it will all be a huge mess, therefore, for beginners, I would suggest using neutral, everyday shades.
This will help you understand how much product you really need and how well you need to blend it. When dark colours blending can be a little difficult especially if it’s your first time. Also, what you need to be very careful when doing your eye makeup is to keep colour coordination in mind. You need to decide what’s going to be your transition shade, your crease shade and your lid shade before you begin.
6. Using the right brush
Here’s where most people fail. Just as for your face, your eye makeup too needs a good brush set. Each brush serves a different purpose so keep that in mind always.

Mentioned below are the different types of eye makeup brushes and their purpose:
Blending brush: A blending brush can help you mix and match different eyeshadow colours while applying.
Dense and small blending brush: This eye makeup brush is the best for applying the eyeshadow base all over your eye.
Fluffy blending brush: After your shadow and eyeliner application, use the fluffy eye shadow blending brush to give a natural finish as it expertly blends the colours. This is a great pick for creating that Smokey eye and various dramatic looks.
Large, doomed blending brush: The large, doomed blending brush can buff, blend and highlight colours in no time. It beautifully blends and finishes a look without any harsh lines.
Crease line brush: Crease line brushes can add depth to your eye makeup. By applying shadow right into your crease, you can add more definition to your eyes.
Liner brush: These fine-tipped eye makeup brushes can be used to line and define your eyes using a gel or liquid eyeliner. You can go all creative with these.
